PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
I am a journalist, science writer and historian with an illustrious career in journalism and in public affairs for world-renowned educational institutions. My awards have ranged from sharing a Pulitzer Prize to writing the best children�s science book. I have taught journalism and science journalism at Stanford University and at two University of California campuses, have done corporate histories, consulted and written two definitive works of non-fiction. I am science writer emeritus at Stanford University.

I presently serve as media representative and senior fellow at the National Center on the Psychology of Terrorism at Stanford.

HONORS AND AWARDS
Pulitzer Prize (1979) - Local Reporting shared as member of the team and as one of three lead writers in coverage of Three Mile Island, The Philadelphia Inquirer.
National Endowment for the Humanities (1979-1980) - Professional Journalism, Stanford University (Knight Fellowship).
